The impact of the First World War on ordinary women is subject of a talk by historian, retired teacher and battlefield guide expert Trevor Boag at Filey library.
As part of the centenary of the start of the First World War, North Yorkshire libraries are holding a number of events across the county looking at different aspects of the conflict and the effects it had on people, communities and the way we see the world.
Trevor’s talk focusses on the women left at home, looking at the literature, poetry and drama of the period and the way it reflected the changes in their lives.
Trevor is giving his time for free and there is no admission charge but a donation is invited to the Royal British Legion.
Trevor will be at Filey Library on Thursday 12 June at 7pm. Numbers are limited so contact the library to book your place.
