Additional Information: Son of Ann Atkin, and the late George Atkin; husband of Ellen Cook Atkin (née Bielby), of 41 Quay St, Sandside, Scarborough.
Strathord was a 195 GRT steam fishing vessel completed in 1906 by Hall, Russell & Co. Ltd. for Aberdeen Steam Trawling And Fishing Co. From 1920 she was owned by Raincliffe Steam Trawling Co. and registered at Scarborough. On 23 February 1920 she was seen to be blown up by a mine by the crew of another fishing vessel.
There were no survivors.
